Mike’s passion and enthusiasm for running long distances in the mountains stems directly from his upbringing. Growing up in the mountains in Montana, family vacations were week-long backpacking trips, not trips to Disneyland or Cancun. A love of long treks and adventures in the mountains was instilled in Mike from an early age.Although Mike loves the competition aspect of ultrarunning, Mike’s true passion now lies in the love of wild places, and the personal insight and exploration that comes from pushing oneself to the edge, maybe even over the edge, high in the mountains.

Dakota Jones was introduced to the sport of ultra trail running after having volunteered at an aid station at the 2008 Hardrock 100. He went on to compete in his first 50km event 6 months later.

Stephanie Case hails from Canada, an ultra runner whose love for running often outshines her ability! At the moment, she is a humanitarian worker and currently resides in Kyrgyzstan.
She has competed in a number of RacingThePlanet’s 250 km self-supported footraces as well as a few of the world's top 110-milers. She's been training under ultrarunner and world record holder Ray Zahab since 2008.
